Colorado Handles Rival Colorado State in Commanding Win

Colorado football bounced back in style, securing a 28-9 win over Colorado State on Saturday. The game was highlighted by standout performances from Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders. Hunter, excelling as a two-way star, caught two touchdown passes and snagged an interception, making a huge impact on both sides of the ball.

Shedeur Sanders was precise, completing 36 of 49 passes for 310 yards and four touchdowns. Hunter was his top target, racking up 13 catches for 100 yards. After trailing 3-0 in the second quarter, Sanders led the charge with 28 unanswered points, displaying leadership and poise in the "Rocky Mountain Showdown."

“There’s no ceiling for this guy,” Sanders said about Hunter, who looked every bit like a Heisman contender.

Offense Finds Its Groove

After a slow start, Colorado’s offense found its rhythm. The offensive line, which is still gelling, allowed only one sack late in the game when the outcome was nearly decided. Sanders even brought his O-line to the press conference, showing unity within the team.

Offensive lineman Tyler Brown summed it up: “We just wanted to prove each other right.”

Defense Steps Up

Colorado’s defense was just as impressive, forcing four turnovers. Hunter’s interception was a highlight, celebrated with a unique “campfire” formation that fired up the crowd.

Preston Hodge, LaVonta Bentley, and B.J. Green also contributed with key turnovers, stifling Colorado State’s offense and preventing them from gaining momentum.

The Takeaway

Colorado continues to impress, finding better balance on offense with 109 rushing yards after previous struggles. With Hunter and Sanders leading the way, this Buffaloes team is one to watch.
