Hampton’s Dominant Performance
Omarion Hampton took center stage, leading North Carolina to a commanding 45-10 win over North Carolina Central. After a slow start, Hampton broke through, racking up 210 rushing yards and three touchdowns. His first half alone saw 125 yards and two scores, including a 53-yard dash that left the defense reeling.

Defensive Dominance
North Carolina’s defense was equally impressive, holding NCCU to just 167 total yards—the fewest allowed by the Tar Heels since 2009. The defense was airtight, allowing only 76 rushing yards and 91 passing yards, completely stifling the Eagles’ offense.
